Xa anunciaramos na convocatoria do 25 de abril que Se Mahoma non vai á montaña… iriamos nós onda eles. Por iso o VENRES 2 de maio, a partires das 10h00, a ODS-Coia, o Grupo de Axitación Social e parroquia do Cristo da Victoria convocamos unha CONCENTRACIÓN ás portas do CONCELLO. E de novo convidamos ao alcalde e á concelleira a que ofrezan solucións ante os atrasos das Axudas de Emerxencia Municipais (AEM).

Abel Caballero e Isaura Abelairas, concelleira de Benestar Social néganse a explicar os motivos do colapso que sofre o departamento de servizos sociais do concello de Vigo. A calada por resposta. Mentres máis de dúas mil solicitudes de AEM están sen resolver. Igual que os problemas de moitas persoas, que acudimos a estas axudas para tratar de buscar vieiros polos que saír do empobrecemento que nos afoga.

Desempregadas ou con empregos precarios, sen pensións ou con elas recortadas, sen prestacións, sen axudas sociais… así temos que vivir, ou máis ben sobrevivir.

O pasado 25 de abril convocamos unha asemblea aberta para falar sobre a Política Social do Concello de Vigo, en concreto sobre os problemas na xestión das AEM nas últimas semanas. Ao acto estaban convidados o alcalde e a concelleira. Nin acudiron, nin deron explicación aos problemas denunciados. Preto dun cento de persoas escoitabamos como moita xente busca nestas axudas os euros necesarios para pagar a vivenda, a factura da luz, a bombona de butano, os alimentos dos cativos da casa… e como a resposta que atopaban era o silencio dos responsables políticos.
