Achegamos un artigo de Redes Cristianas que leva por título «Con el debido respeto»:

Estimados hermanos que estáis en la jerarquía:

Concluida ya la JMJ 2011  con la venida del papa Benedicto XVI a Madrid, queremos expresaros, con el debido respeto, nuestra perplejidad y escándalo por los insultos que algunos miembros de la CEE han dirigido a l@s católic@s que, usando de su libertad cívica y parresía paulinas, mantuvieron y expresaron pública y respetosamente su postura crítica ante estos eventos.

1. Nos llena de perplejidad principalmente la actitud de algunos obispos calificando a est@s cristian@s de “paletos” (Braulio Rodríguez, arzobispo primado de Toledo) y “parásitos” (J.A. Martínez Camino, portavoz de la CEE). Siendo nosotros parte básica y esencial de la misma Iglesia que ellos de modo absoluto  dicen representar y conscientes de que el insulto degrada más seriamente a quien lo pronuncia que a quiénes se intenta injuriar, nostr@s hemos huido siempre de esta actitud vergonzante que humilla a las personas y profundiza la división en la comunión eclesial. Por eso la actitud de estos obispos nos deja muy perplejos.

2. Pero, por otra parte,  nos escandalizan aún más estas posturas por la alta jerarquía que ellos representan en la Iglesia desde la que han insultado gravemente a parte del pueblo cristiano. La jerarquía no es ningún poder absoluto en la Iglesia, es la representación de un servicio  de comunión que debería ser humilde y cuyo buen o mal hacer lo va cargando de autoridad moral o desautoriza en la comunidad de herman@s. Insultar desde ese importante servicio a un sector de la Iglesia lo consideramos muy grave porque causa división en el pueblo cristiano. Tod@s en la Iglesia, y máxime los obispos,  estamos llamados a desterrar la ira y la violencia –también la verbal- y a trabajar por la unión de tod@s en la comunión eclesial. No hacerlo así, nos parece un pecado grave contra el deseo ardiente de Jesús “que tod@s sean uno” y una falta de compromiso con los valores más nucleares del Evangelio. Por estos motivos, ante el comportamiento de estos obispos nos viene a la memoria y nos llena de claridad aquel criterio de la Tradición Apostólica recogido por San Cipriano, obispo de Cartago, en el siglo III en su Epístola 57, 3-2: “El pueblo tiene el deber de apartarse de los obispos pecadores, puesto que tiene poder para elegir obispos dignos y recusar a los indignos”.

3. Como parte importante de la Iglesia de Jesús que somos pedimos a la CEE, y en especial a su presidente,  que rechace oficial y públicamente estos insultos, pues públicamente fueron pronunciados. Y esperamos que haga llegar a los autores de tales descalificaciones nuestro rechazo y nuestra espera de que, para rehacer lazos de comunión,  hagan algún tipo de reparación de su propio descrédito y del daño que han causado a toda la Iglesia que está en España.
