La Rede Social Galicia Sur (RSGS), que desde el año 2008 viene trabajando en la ciudad de Vigo entre otras cosas por la apertura de un Centro de Inclusión social de carácter público y después de los acontecimientos de los últimos meses, manifiesta:

1º Nuestra gran preocupación y descontento por el incumplimiento, una vez más, de los compromisos adquiridos antes de las elecciones municipales en lo referente a la apertura y puesta en marcha del Centro de Inclusión social para personas sin hogar y también las reuniones periódicas de seguimiento e interlocución sobre este tema del Concello con esta plataforma.

Para la RSGS esta situación es triste y vergonzosa. Después de los años, de idas y venidas, de cruces de declaraciones y de informaciones contradictorias y poco facilitadoras, la situación sigue igual: la ciudad de Vigo sigue sin contar con un centro público que de respuesta a las necesidades reales de las personas sin hogar.

Dudamos de que a lo largo de este tiempo haya existido o exista en la actualidad una voluntad política clara para llevar a cabo este proyecto. Desconocemos las intenciones reales del Concello y nos preocupa que ni la firma de un convenio para la apertura y gestión del Centro haya conseguido que se cumplan los plazos anunciados.

2º Viendo que otro invierno más se acerca, sin un Centro de Inclusión Social que realmente de cobertura a las necesidades más básicas del colectivo de personas sin hogar, desde la RSGS, pedimos:

Que después de los últimos acontecimientos, se tomen y ejecuten, con la máxima premura, las decisiones más ágiles, eficaces y sostenibles teniendo en cuenta el bienestar y beneficio del colectivo de personas sin hogar y también de la ciudadanía en general.

Que de una vez por todas, desde el Concello, se cumplan los compromisos adquiridos: Apertura y puesta en marcha de un Centro de Inclusión social que permita a las personas sin hogar iniciar procesos de recuperación personal.

Que desde el Concello se mantenga la promesa de reuniones periódicas con la RSGS para ser informada sobre el proyecto y poder hacer un seguimiento y aportaciones constructivas desde sus conocimientos y experiencia con este colectivo.

Que teniendo en cuenta que comienza el invierno y que seguimos sin Centro de inclusión, se prevea de manera temporal y transitoria, en ningún caso como respuesta a nuestra reivindicación un dispositivo temporal de frío en condiciones de dignidad.

Para manifestar y evidenciar la opinión y preocupación sobre este tema de la RSGS y también de un colectivo importante de personas que se encuentra en la calle en situación de vulnerabilidad ante las inclemencias del tiempo y a las decisiones (o ausencia de ellas) de los representantes políticos y recogiendo también el sentir de una cada vez más grande parte de la ciudadanía concienciada sobre la gravedad de esta situación, llevaremos a cabo un CÍRCULO DE SILENCIO el día 13 de octubre a las 12:00 a.m a las puertas del Concello.

* CIRCULO DE SILENCIO: Esta forma de protesta fue iniciada por los hermanos franciscanos en Francia ante las decisiones políticas de tratamiento a los sin papeles. Escogían un lugar simbólico y visible y durante una hora permanecían en círculo y en silencio.

La RSGS traslada esta misma idea a las calles de Vigo, media hora de silencio. Media hora sin palabras, que es como nos sentimos. Media hora dedicada a la lucha por la dignidad y el respeto de los derechos humanos de aquellos a los que normalmente no se oye, a los que no tienen voz. El día 13 de octubre a las 12:00h compartirá el silencio con ellos.
