Non podemos seguir a consentir a situación de total indefensión e precariedade na que as institucións públicas deixan a unha poboación cada vez máis empobrecida, vítima dun sistema económico excluínte que impide que dispoña do imprescindible para vivir con dignidade.
Fronte á realidade de terrible inxustiza social que está a padecer a cidadanía, o Concello de Vigo e a Xunta de Galicia despregan unhas políticas sociais absolutamente miserables e ineficaces, tanto no seu deseño como na aplicación, sempre sen orzamentos.
No eido local, non temos máis que botar unha ollada ao publicitado cheque social ou ao mal funcionamento das Axudas de Emerxencia Municipais (AEM) para constatalo. Con respecto ao primeiro, temos denunciado recentemente que na nosa opinión este programa resulta totalmente insuficiente e inxusto, non só pola evidente e mesmo insultante escaseza da contía orzamentaria, senón tamén polo seu carácter eminentemente restritivo tanto no que ten que ver cos ingresos máximos das persoas potencialmente beneficiarias, como nos anos de empadroamento esixidos. E no que atinxe ás AEM, o panorama non é mellor, co colapso máis absoluto na tramitación, con persoas agardando máis de tres meses pola resolución, e coa aplicación de criterios máis restritivos que o establecido polas propias bases, no referente, por exemplo, ao pago de recibos (só se hai orde de corte) ou á concesión de axudas para alimentos (unicamente a persoas con ingresos cero).
No que á Xunta de Galicia se refire, a crúa realidade da RISGA (longos tempos de espera que se prolongan ata os oito meses, burocracia excesiva, escasa cobertura, contías mínimas…) está a agravar dun xeito intolerable a terrible situación de empobrecemento e precariedade que padecen tantas persoas e familias en Galicia. E o acordo parlamentario publicado o 12 de xuño no Boletín Oficial do Parlamento, no que se insta á Xunta a que axilice a tramitación da RISGA e das axudas de inclusión social para cumprir os prazos que marca a normativa vixente, non fai senón demostrar que se está a incumprir sistematicamente o establecido pola lei.
Fronte a estas propostas ineficaces e inxustas do Concello e da Xunta en termos de transformación social e de loita contra o empobrecemento; fronte a estes modelos de axudas e “rendas ou salarios de pobres”; en definitiva, fronte ás AEM e aos cheques sociais, fronte á propia RISGA…, non nos queda máis que organizarnos dende abaixo para que se escoiten ben forte as nosas voces de denuncia e as nosas alternativas transformadoras.
Por iso, para analizar a actual situación e, sobre todo, para deseñar e levar a cabo conxuntamente novas estratexias que nos permitan esixir os nosos dereitos, convocamos a persoas e colectivos a unha asemblea aberta o vindeiro luns 30 de xuño ás 20:00 horas no Salón de actos da Parroquia Cristo da Victoria en Coia.
Porque como nos lembra xente amiga de Canarias: “Por eso caminamos con la urgencia del andar despacio, porque nuestra lucha es para siempre y se refuerza a diario, empeñadas en construir en el presente el futuro que soñamos.”
