Coa celebración da Eucaristía do primeiro domingo de Advento, arranca na nosa Comunidade a Campaña de Nadal 2014. En esta ocasión, a parroquia decidiu reiterar o seu apoio ao proxecto dun fogar para nen@s abandoad@s na localidade de Titayén, Haití. Este fogar, a cargo da Fundación Montesinos dos dominicos haitianos, recolle a case 500 nenos e nenas na súa maioría orfos a resultas do terremoto de 2010. Trátase de crear un espazo autoxestionado ondo os rapaces poidan vivir, ir á escola e mesmo desenvolver actividades productivas para o seu mantenmento.

A campaña de axuda, animada unha vez máis polas comunidades de xente máis nova,  manterase ata finais de xanerio e rematará cunha colecta final. O ano pasado recadáronse 10.500 euros que foron destiñados fundamentalmente á alimentación dos rapaces.

Este ano como novidades estase a lanzar diverso material promocional (camisetas, chapas, cartaces…) coa finalidade de extender o coñecemento da campaña, e se pode ser, recadar añgún diñeiro máis. Outra novidade é o que chamamos «almorzos para Titanyén», un bono solidario cun importe similar a cantidade que costa unha comida diaria durante unha semana para un destes nen@s.
