Ha llegado diciembre del 2012! En cuyo mes se celebra el final del B’aqtun y el inicio de una nueva era. En estos tiempos de globalización y cambio de época, la sabiduría ancestral maya hace presente y ofertante este acontecimiento. ¿Coincidencia o cuidadoso conocimiento del devenir del tiempo?
En este año hemos reflexionado, en nuestro editorial mensual, en relación a algunas cuestiones que pueden implicarse con el cambio del B’aqtum. Se ha escrito y conversado con abundancia en este año sobre la resonancia y exigencias implícitas en el calendario maya, más allá y deslegitimando, por supuesto, la opinión del derrumbe o destrucción del mundo.
El cambio de B’aqtun, se ha escrito, es una oportunidad para la reconciliación y justicia con el cosmos y la naturaleza, a los que el desarrollo industrial y la voracidad del dinero están devastando con graves consecuencias. Los sabios mayas nos invitan a la comunión, armonía y equilibrio cosmos-tierra y humanidad, a asumir un cosmosentimiento de fraternidad con el universo, como fuente de vida, energía y sostenibilidad de la existencia. El nuevo B’aqtun, que se inicia después del 21 de diciembre, ha de adentrarse en esa espiritualidad del equilibrio y no del despojo, en la sostenibilidad y no en el vaciamiento, en la convergencia y no en la competencia.
El misterio del cosmos y la madre naturaleza es un desafío y estímulo para cultivar en el valor, respeto y reconocimiento de todo ser humano, en su singularidad y sus rasgos igualitarios con los otros. La diversidad humana, con sus múltiples expresiones, es condición y propiedad del ser humano. Por eso, en el nuevo B’aqtun hemos de proponernos avanzar con efectividad en la formulación y legalidad del pluralismo, de las relaciones étnico-culturales, internacionalidad constructiva. La diversidad como manifestación en la naturaleza (biodiversidad) demanda canalizar esfuerzos decididos por el valor y lugar y aporte de lo local, lo singular, lo altero, lo diferencial. Una globalización que no se teja y construya de pluralidad traiciona la grandeza del ser humano, el testimonio del cosmos y la riqueza de la diversidad de la Madre Tierra.
El inicio del nuevo B’aqtun es una llamada a construir y madurar la interioridad, a partir de una purificación de las sombras, excesos y violencia, contra uno mismo o contra los demás; llama al perdón, comprensión, tolerancia y amor constructivo. A través del tiempo transcurrido se han sembrado y cosechado demasiados odios, prejuicios, estereotipos, etnocentrismos y una gran secuela de rupturas. Estamos llamados a mirarnos cara a cara sin bloqueos, sin prejuicios; a relacionarnos a partir de nuestras experiencias comparadas de vida y pensamiento; a enlazar interioridades para una verdadera fraternidad.
La promoción del diálogo, como instrumento a favor de la justicia y la paz, constituye igualmente un desafío para la nueva era que comenzamos. El diálogo ha sido una conquista más requerida en los últimos decenios del pasado siglo; es una valiosa herramienta, que debemos cuidar y hacer crecer. En nuestro editorial hablamos del “diálogo dialógico”, es decir, aquel que supera el simple conversatorio o el intercambio de visiones. El diálogo que construye nuevos horizontes, nuevas plataformas y modelos de vida, solo se alcanza cuando los interlocutores buscan lo nuevo, lo mejor, lo común, lo recíproco. El diálogo dialógico compromete a este mundo a lo distinto, respetuoso y valorativo de lo alcanzado y necesitado de contagiar; es un diálogo de mutua influencia, ayuda recíproca y conciencia de la necesidad de los otros, para ser yo, para ser nosotros. La vida seguirá su camino y es aquí donde habrá que empeñarse en que la visión y espiritualidad de la sabiduría ancestral maya no sea corrompida por la mediocridad, la apatía o el fanatismo.
