Preto de 300 persoas acudiron onte na primeira xornada do congreso de xustiza e paz celebrado na nosa comunidade.

José María Castillo, prestixioso teólogo granadino, profesor da Universidade Centroamericana do Salvador (UCA), e ex xesuita, abriu o congreso coa conferencia: Por qué falar de crise na Igrexa?: análise e alternativas. Segundo Castillo, os indicadores da crise actual da Igrexa, que calificou de "moi importante", céntranse en "un malestar no ambiente, tanto nas autoridades eclesiásticas, como nos propios fieis". Lembrou que cada
vez máis "os templos vanse quedando baleiros, os seminarios máis sos e estánse a pechar comunidades por falta de párrocos". A reacción da xerarquía eclesial foi "o aumento do control e o fundamentalismo", entendido como "tradición acorralada".

Para José María Castillo o feito de que o Papa decidira volver a oficiar as misas en latín e de costas ao pobo "non é ningunha broma, senón algo moi significativo. Estamos retrocedendo ao século VIII".

Tamén explicou o erro da Igrexa ao "quedar rezagada respecto á realidade da sociedade". As persoas teñen que palpar "a sensibilidade da Igrexa alomenos, entres aspectos básicos do Evanxeo: ser os últimos e non os primeiros, a imaxe e a vestimenta da propia Igrexa e os cartos, como unha aposta polos pobres". E como alternativa a esta situación preocupante que actualmente vive a Igrexa, dixo que "rachar con ela non é a solución, nin tampouco a sumisión incondicional que perpetuaría o problema". Sí apostó por camiños alternativos, "participando en comunidades de base, parroquias comprometidas e grupos que queiran recuperar o Evanxeo. O que busca, atopa". E dixo que a grande esperanza do futuro son "a xente nova".

Mañá sábado continuará o congreso coa segunda xornada durante todo o día. Nela participarán, a partires das 10 da mañá Martín Gelabert, Bernardo Cuesta, Geraldina Céspedes, Víctor Freixanes e Julio Lois.
