O xoves 28 de maio COIA acolle un ROTEIRO polos LAVADOIROS do barrio. Unha oportunidade para coñecer uns lugares onde as mulleres da Coia antiga xuntábanse para facer vida ao redor da auga. Unha andaina que, ademais de lugares físicos, percorrerá historias e relatos da xente que, onte e hoxe, fixo de Coia un espazo cheo de vida. Sae ás 18h do IES ALEXANDRE BÓVEDA e remata ás 20h no LAVADOIRO de FIGUEIRIDO.

A auga, o xabrón, a roupa, a cháchara… As risas, as chanzas, as angustias, os segredos…. Os lavadoiros, un espazo de encontro das mulleres.

Nunha sociedade cuxas relacións estaban segregadas en razón do xénero, o rol do home no exterior da casa, na fábrica ou na taberna, dono dos espazos de poder, mentres que o papel da muller ficaba no interior do fogar, responsable dos coidados da familia.

Nunha sociedade case que preindustrial, como podería ser a Coia de hai uns 70 ou 80 anos, as lavadoras eran máquinas de luxo ao que poucas familias poderían aspirar. A alternativa: o lavadoiro de pedra, que se converte así nun espazo de encontro da muller.

O xoves 28 de maio, ás 18:00 horas, partindo do IES Alexandre Bóveda, visitaremos algúns dos lavadoiros que aínda se conservan en Coia, vestixios anacrónicos dun pasado rural devorado por altos edificios e rúas asfaltadas. No percorrido, intercalado por actuacións musicais, tamén falaremos doutras historias da vella Coia: do pequeno poboado castrexo de O Castriño, dun pasado medieval que ás penas podemos albiscar, dunha Coia rural e mariñeira, do doloroso parto da Coia actual…

O itinerario do roteiro coas paradas é o seguinte:

Saída – 18h00: IES Alexandre Bóveda > San Martiño de Coia > Castro Castriño > Lavadoiros de Barxiela e Esturáns > Chegada – 20:00: Lavadoiro de Figueirido.

A actividade está enmarcada dentro do Roteiro por Coia, iniciativa do profesorado do IES Alexandre Bóveda, á cal vos convidamos.

Logo de rematar o roteiro, a partires das 20:00, temos festa con música e actuacións no local do Centro Cultural Autoxestionado “DISTRITO 9” (Camiño do Figueirido 89, Vigo).
