Francisco I reunirase con Gustavo Gutiérrez, pai da Teoloxía da Liberación

Prosigue la rehabilitación, por la vía de los hechos, de la Teología de la Liberación. Si la pasada semana era L’Osservatore Romano quien traía a sus páginas al padre de esta corriente teológica, Gustavo Gutiérrez, ahora es el prefecto de la Congregación para la Doctrina de la Fe (y amigo personal del teólogo peruano), Gerhard Müller, quien anuncia que Francisco le recibirá en breve.

Gutiérrez se encuentra en Italia, donde el pasado domingo presentó su libro «De la parte de los pobres. Teología de la liberación, teología de la Iglesia» (Ed. San Paolo-Emi), escrito a cuatro manos con el propio Müller.

Mucho han cambiado las cosas cuando Doctrina de la Fe, encargada en los años 80 de condenar la Teología de la Liberación y a muchos de sus teólogos, es la que parece dedicada a rehabilitar esta corriente, dentro de la nueva teología latinoamericana, centrada en los pobres y en el sufrimiento y que encarna como nadie el mismo Francisco.

Gustavo Gutiérrez nunca fue condenado por la Santa Sede, aunque Roma sí pidió en su día que corrigiera su artículo «La Koinonía eclesial», que se envió a Romaen 1998 pero se publicó en 2004. Algunas fuentes apuntan que el teólogo podría ser incluido dentro del grupo del expertos de la Comisión Teológica Internacional, el máximo organismo de la Santa Sede para el debate y las decisiones sobre el depósito de la fe.
