«En los años pasados en Ferrol, participó activamente en la vida sociocultural de la ciudad. Destacó especialmente la participación en la fundación de instituciones como el Ateneo Ferrolán o ASFEDRO para asistencia de la drogadicción. Colaboró con estudios sociológicos para el Concilio Pastoral de Galicia, para AAVV y para el consejo nacional de la JIC de Madrid. También fue miembro fundador de la revista «Encrucillada» y de la asociación «Irimia». Fue coautor del libro Meudon, une approche pastorale (París, 1970) y del libro Catolicismo en España (I.S.A. Madrid, 1985). Fue autor del capítulo «Ferrol, estructura e identidade» (en O Feito diferencial galego, tomo III, editada por el Museo do Pobo Galego, 1991). Colaboró con artículos en prensa, pero especialmente en diferentes revistas como la citada «Encrucillada», «Lucensia», «Guía dos Libros Novos», «Tempos Novos», «Irimia», etc. Compuso textos para cantos litúrgicos, así como otros que fueron musicados por el Padre Feixóo, Miguel Varela y por grupos folk como Fuxan os Ventos ou Saraibas.»
