Estes anuncio se fixeron con gran rebumbio, ao que os medios responderon colocando as novas nas primeiras páxinas, incluíndo unha visita ás instalacións do pavillón de O Berbés para que toda a cidadanía comprobara o ben que a cidade trata aos sen teito.
O que non se dixo eses días é que o concello pechou o 15 de decembro un dos dous pisos de transición á vida autónoma que funcionaban en Vigo a través dun programa municipal xestionado por unha fundación. Durante o 2010 eses pisos estiveron ocupados por persoas que viñan de vivir na rúa -un para homes e outro para mulleres- e que servían como camiño para tratar de alcanzar unha vida independente. No intre do peche había dúas mulleres residindo nel, que estaban en pleno proceso educativo e de intervención social e que tiveron que marchar a unha pensión.

Non queremos esquecer agora que os anos de denuncia e loita de grupos como o IMÁN pola mellora das condicións de vida das máis empobrecidas polo sistema capitalista son exemplos de dignidade en medio do desinterese. Esa loita, e non as decisións propagandísticas da clase política, conseguiron chegar á cidadanía que comezan a pedir solucións en forma de manifestacións, concentracións, escritos…
Por iso da noxo e vergoña observar aos políticos pórse medallas neste tema, mentres pola traseira pechan un recurso moi necesario baixo a escusa dos problemas de orzamento que non existen para facer auditorios, subvencionar voos para unha élite, facer aparcadoiros soterrados que quedan baleiros, etc. O problema das persoas sen fogar non está so en non ter un albergue, tamén está nas longas esperas e morea de dificultades para acceder a prestacións sociais básicas como a RISGA a PNC, na precariedade do mercado de traballo, na insuficiencia de recursos para as persoas dependentes, na imposibildade de acceder a un teito a un prezo asequible e nun longo etcétera.
